In 1989 Union S.C. extended their club relations beyond Africa by accepting the invitations from Jaffery S.C. to play series of cricket, volleyball, football and squash in Dubai in December 1989. This was the first ever trip from any cricketing club in Tanzania to travel for sports outside Africa.
