A joint program by NASIMCO and Friday Baraza Group was held on December 15/2017 in honour of our guests from World Federation.  In attendance were representatives of ISIJ of Toronto, Masumeen Islamic Centre Brampton, Al Razawi Islamic Centre Hamilton, Islamic Humanitarian Service Kitchener, Al Mahdi Centre, and the Board of Directors at the Crescent Village (Complex).

Br. Arif Asaria, NASIMCO Honorary Secretary, directed the evening Program. He talked about the direction and vision of the newly elected NASIMCO Board and presented the already accomplished tasks by NASIMCO during their brief time in office. He added that NASIMCO, Toronto ISIJ and the attending affiliated bodies have agreed to work together so as to efficiently use their resources to implement their objectives.

The highlight of the evening was the address by the WF President, Al Haj Sheikh Anwerali Bhai Dharamsi who spoke about the various heart wrenching issues facing our international community and how the WF has been actively involved in trying to assist our brothers and sisters to reduce and deal with their unfortunate situations. 

He also thanked NASIMCO and BARAZA GROUP for their hospitality. A few years ago he was also the guest of the Baraza when he was the President of Africa Federation.

Br. Shafiq Ebrahim,V.P. of ISIJ of Toronto, explained about the capital project at JCC, services to members and outreach program. 

Shafiq Punjani, Capital Projects and Development Board of ISIJ Toronto, added his thoughts on the project.

Br. Sajjad Ebrahim, the President of Jaffari Islamic Housing Corporation, Crescent Village, talked about the services and benefits of this complex to our Jamaat Members.

The WF Vice President, Br. Shabbar Dhalla eloquently reiterated all these ideas and explained how the WF intended to strengthen the bonds with the regional bodies by dividing and assigning tasks for maximum benefits.

The session ended with serving of Zanzibar style Bhiryani, Samosas and special Baraza Chai with what else, but Mandazis.

P.S. In the first Group picture, the name of Br. Mahmood Dhalla was mistakenly omitted. He is the Assistant Secretary General of World Federation. The error is regretted.
